This project was for the supply and fit for a modern house located in Ealing Common.

We  used our popular 21mm x 180mm wide engineered oakwood flooring planks  for this project. The grading of the wood was a character grade with standard lengths of 2.4m long being the average. The 21mm thickness consists of a 6mm top layer of oak and 15mm quality birch ply wood.

The finish used on this oak floors is a 2 coat system that is prefinished off-site with Osmo Matt Clear oil

Hardwood floor installation technique we used here is called the Sika Acoubond System. This system consists of a high quality foam matt with symmetrically placed cut out to insert Sika’s flexible adhesive. This system allows you to achieve a high sound dampening effect suitable for that of a loft conversion.

The skirting’s on this project were already newly installed and decorated so removal of these was not an option, instead we used a solid oak flat bead which was then finished with the same Osmo oil, allowing it to blend in with the floor.

Our clients were extremely pleased with the end result and so are we.
